E100 Bible Challenge 2011

Are you up for a challenge?
"I've read bits of the Bible but I don't really know how they all fit together."
"I love the Bible. I'd like some help to understand it better and how it applies to my life today."
"I've never read the Bible much but I'm interested in finding out more of what's in it."
Any of those quotes sound like you?
Then the E100 Bible Reading Challenge is for you!
The challenge is to read 100 carefully selected, essential, short Bible passages - 50 from the Old Testament and 50 from the New Testament. The passages are usually one to two chapters in length and can easily be read in 10 minutes or less and are designed to give participants a good understanding of the overall Bible story from Genesis to Revelation. The 'E' stands for Essential and each of the Essential 100 readings ranges from a few verses to a few chapters.
We'll be following the planner available below.

Any challenge is going to be hard at times which is why we’ll be helping each other along the way. Doing it alone is possible but with others it becomes easier.

Sundays Mornings - from January to July 2011 will follow the weekly Bible readings and provide a framework to support the E100 programme.
Small Groups - will be following especially prepared notes to get talking about the E100 Bible readings. If you would like to get connected to a small group please see Rosie Roberts.
Facebook - Join the Bethel E100 facebook group and see what each other are saying about their readings that week. Post your own thoughts and share God’s Word together. Just add Bethel Baptist Cardiff to your list of friends and look for the e100 postings.
Mobile smartphone users: e.g. iphone, blackberry, android or symbian can go to www.youversion.com for a free Bible version and e100 reading plan.
What if I miss some out? - Don’t worry!
The E100 challenge is not there to make you feel guilty for missing out readings. Which is why we’ll have a one week break every month to catch up as well as a longer break for Easter at the mid-way point.
Why not give the challenge a go!
