Hi there everyone!

I thought I’d jump on here quickly this morning to let you all know that I’m off on my hols this weekend!

Last summer we were hoping to go to a Greek Island, but that had to be delayed till this summer… only to have to delay again until next year – but I’m really pleased to say we’ve managed to book a place in Somerset instead! So we’re swapping Greek culture for a bit of cheddar cheese and cider! We’re going with family and friends (15 of us in total!) so it should be loads of fun!

But I’m really grateful to two good mates who are “stepping into the breach” here at Bethel for the next two weekends:

The always-brilliant-Richard Hodges will be sharing on the 1st of August, and Hospital Chaplain-extraordinaire Andy Gibbs is speaking on the 8th!

(You don’t have to be bald to preach at Bethel, but…..)

They’ll be continuing in the HOPE away from Home series through 1 Peter! Both guys have such a heart for God’s Word and God’s people – and I’ve blessed by them both in a million ways, so it’s great to know we’ll be in good hands for those two Sunday mornings.

if you’re around (we’re not sadly) don’t miss the picnic at 4pm this Sunday down at Hayley Park too!

A couple of days ago I began to share my heart for a new discipleship program  {  bless.  } that I’m launching here at Bethel mid-September, please do check that out and if it’s something that speaks to you I’d love to hear from you. More details here.

And for more info on summer plans – check out our latest updates video:

Whether you’ve had to cancel or rearrange summer plans (again?) this year – I really do hope you have a GREAT summer and get lots of time with the people and places that deeply relax and refuel you.

Thanks again to everyone for all their encouragement, love, prayers and support!
