YouTube Live!

On Sundays  we will be having an in-person service at church and also  live streaming messages via YouTube live at 10:30am  and 6 pm.  You will be able to view these without a YouTube account, and they will also be available on Smart TVs/Fire stick etc. for those without tablets/laptops. The livestream links are available on the website. If anyone is struggling to access the livestreams, please let us know.

Thanksgiving Service

We will be having a thanksgiving service here at Bethel on 27th November to remember the loved ones from our congregation that we have lost during this time of covid. It will give us a chance to remember them and celebrate their lives together.  There will also be refreshments available in the lounge afterwards.

Church is Open!!

The church is now fully open. Booking is no longer needed at all. We ask that you still respect social distancing  and follow all guidance given. Face masks are still required to be worn.

Bethel Kids is also taking place for all primary school children in years 1-6.  We are aiming to open other age groups for children & young people in the coming weeks. Following the service we will be serving tea & coffee in the lounge.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for a team of people that may be able from time to time be available to do some cleaning in the Whitchurch Centre or Church. This need has arisen as the cleaning requirements have been increased because of Covid.  If you think you might be able to help, please contact Lorraine in the office.  Many thanks.

 

Children and Youth

Bethel Tots  (Babies – Reception) Sunday morning, 10:30 – end of service . This will take place in the church lounge and will give the little ones a time of fun, play and singing together. Parents are encouraged to sit in with the younger ones.

Bethel Kids Sunday Morning during the service. Over the next few weeks we will be starting to rehearse our Christmas Nativity.  This will be practiced and recorded over the next few weeks and will be premiered on Sunday the 19th of December. This is an exciting time as we discover and experience the birth of our Saviour.

Bethel Teens    Meeting at 7pm-8:15pm at the Whitchurch Centre, this group aimed at school years 5 – 9 have an amazing time, getting to know one another, playing games and learning some important lessons from the Bible in a fun way. This week we start out look at the Nativity,. There are 4 mysteries to be solved-the teams need to work together in the Nativity Escape Room.

Bethel Youth   Meeting at 7pm – 9pm at the Whitchurch Centre, this group is aimed at school years 10 – 13. A time to chill, chat, and play some games. we also spend time looking into the Bible and supporting each other to grow in faith. This week we jump into the nativity escape room-can we learn about the story of Christmas and escape in time, or will the leaders eat all the pizza…

Collecting used Stamps to help fund BMS work

Please continue to save used postage stamps for the BMS stamps bureau. During the first quarter of 2020 £3500 was raised for BMS by the bureau. We look forward to being able to collect the stamps you are saving as soon as possible. Marion Rushton.

Promise of Christmas Concert

We are thrilled to announce that the ever popular Promise of Christmas will be taking place once again this year on Saturday 4th December at St David’s Hall, Cardiff at 3pm.  Cambrensis Choir and Orchestra, the St David’s Praise Choir, the Cambrats and the Promise of Christmas Youth Choir will all be taking part and hope to bring you a feast of Christmas music to enjoy. Booking is now open at St David’s Hall  via phone, in person or online.
