I Joined the Church as an Assistant Minister straight after completing my training at South Wales Baptist College. I became Minister for Bethel in 2012 when our former minister (Simeon Baker) felt called to work for the Baptist Union of Wales.
My wife and I have 3 young children, Isaac, Joshua and Lois. I have a passion for people to encounter the presence of God – whether this be in a church context (through prayer, teaching or worship) or in a mission context. I want to see people grow in their discipleship and spiritual gifting and seek to nurture and release other into ministry and mission roles within the church.

At Bethel we have a team of staff working to support the church and bring the kingdom of God in their given roles.
Youth Leader and School Worker
Tim and his wife Yael have two children, Heulwen and Elijah. Tim has a personal passion for music, running, technology and video games. He has been involved in a few areas of the Church for many years now including Youth work, worship group, prayer ministry and serving in a leadership capacity. After several years avoiding the call, he has taken the plunge and handed in his notice at his previous job and has taken up the role of Youth Leader and Schools worker here at Bethel. Tim brings with him a range of skills and creativity, and a passion to see the youth of North Cardiff, living real lives for Christ.
Church Support Worker
Lorraine started in the role of Church Support Worker in October 2014 after being a member at Bethel for a number of years previously. Lorraine is married to Rob (A Church Deacon) and they have two wonderful daughters. When not at work Lorraine enjoys all things musical-singing in a choir, teaching piano and playing in the Church Music Group.
My name is Janet and I have been cleaning at the church for quite a number of years. I am married to Simeon and we have one daughter called Bethany. I also work part-time for a care agency as a home support worker.
For my leisure time I enjoy lovely long walks also in the last few years I have grown to enjoy pillion riding on a motorbike with Simeon. We have travelled to many places together and look forward to many more adventures!
