Family News
Many of us will know that Bernard Croft has been battling with leukemia this past couple of years. Sadly, Bernard passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning (21st January)
We hold Rose especially in our prayers, asking that she knows the comfort and strength of the God who draws near to the brokenhearted.
Bernard was a gentle, faithful man whose love for the Scriptures shaped his whole life. He read them deeply, studied them carefully, and delighted in sharing what he discovered. He was an ardent supporter of the prayer meetings, and would often lift up his voice in both prayer and song. We give thanks for his life, his faith, and the way he quietly sought to built others up.
Bernard particularly loved prophecy - and the book of Revelations especially. In our sadness , there is the underlying joy of knowing that he now stands in that home that he sought to understand so deeply. That his eyes have seen the face of the God he loved, followed and trusted so faithfully his whole life.
New Womens' Walking Group
The Walkie Talkies are a group of women who meet once or twice a month for short, local walks and a chat. Come and join us if you'd like some fresh air and friendship, and feel free to invite your friends! We tend to walk for about an hour, but you can join for as little or as much as you like - no fitness level required, some of us are slow walkers! If you'd like to join the WhatsApp group, just chat to Sarah Hodges or Esme Farewell. We currently meet on a Friday, but if there's enough interest in another day/time, we might be able to expand!
Crafty Chatters
Crafty Chatters meets on the first Friday of every month from 6pm - 9pm in room 5 in the church hall. All are welcome to come for as long or short a time as you can and if you are dropping children / youth to any of the clubs why not drop in for a tea or coffee and a chat whilst you wait. The next meeting is on the 6th February.
Coffee Mornings and Midweek Service
The coffee mornings take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11am in the Church Lounge. A lovely time to meet together to chat and share in fellowship. The midweek services take place on the 4th Tuesday of the month in the Church.
Can you Help....?
We are looking for people to join our sound and vision team and also our tea/coffee rota. If you think you can help, or to find out more, please contact Lorraine in the office office@bethelcardiff.org.uk
Giving
As a Baptist church, Bethel is entirely self-funded by the giving of its members and those who attend regularly. If you’d like to support our ministry and mission in an ongoing way – we can do so either by placing donations in the offering box on the Bible shelves near the sound desk, pay by contactless giving on the phone there, or by bank transfers.
Please see the following information about the way the church is funded. Many thanks. There are also QR codes in various places in the Church Lounge and Church hall for you to scan to support the ministry and mission of the church if you so wish. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CONTACTLESS GIVING IS NOW WORKING AGAIN

Easy Fundraising
Easy Fundraising is a simple way to support Bethel without it costing you anything. It’s a way of raising money for the church when you shop online, either using your computer or a smartphone. You can find more information at
www.easyfundraising.org.uk. You’ll need to sign up (it’s free) and then either install an app for your phone or there’s a plugin for your web browser. The website guides you through the simple steps to do this. It will also ask you to ‘Find a cause’, so if you look for Bethel Baptist we’re the only one on there at the moment. .
