Church “Bring & Share” Harvest Thanksgiving Lunch
This will be happening today in the Church Hall after the morning service. It is intended as a "bring and share lunch" where we bring different dishes and share with others. You can still grab some food and join us if you haven't come prepared. Many thanks
Prayer Times
There are a couple of opportunities each week to join with others for a time of prayer. Monday Evening at 7pm and/or Saturday morning at 10am both in the lounge. It would be great if you could join us.
Family News
Many of you will know that our brother Steve Parker has been battling with cancer. On Tuesday the 16th September in the morning he went home to be with his Lord and Saviour. Steve's faith was a steadfast inspiration as was his support for so many of us. He was a true servant of the Lord and a father in the faith. Until we are reunited in glory, he will be deeply, deeply missed. Our prayers are with his wife Liz, daughters Emma, Rachel and Debbie and their families at his difficult time. "Well done, good and faithful servant... come and share in your master's happiness"
Crafty Chatters
Crafty Chatters meets on the first Friday of every month from 6pm - 9pm in room 5 in the church hall. All are welcome to come for as long or short a time as you can and if you are dropping children / youth to any of the clubs why not drop in for a tea or coffee and a chat whilst you wait. The next meeting is on the 3rd October,
Coffee Mornings and Midweek Service
The coffee mornings take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11am in the Church Lounge. A lovely time to meet together to chat and share in fellowship. The midweek services have also now resumed (after a break) and take place on the 4th Tuesday of the month in the Church.
AGM and Members Meeting
At this Meeting on the 24th September we are thrilled to be able to share that Alison Mack was elected as a deacon, and Rosie Roberts was reelected as church secretary.
Youthscape Essentials Course
From the 1st of October we will be offering the Youthscape Essentials course on a Wednesday night (in place of some small groups) at 7:30pm in the church. This will be a great time to gather and learn about how we as a church can better support our young people. In the course we gain an insight into what young people experience today, learn a new skill, and also grow our own faith. There will be 10 sessions (with a break in half-term week)
There is a guest blog post here that explains in a bit more detail, but please don't hesitate to talk to Tim if you want to know more.

Giving
As a Baptist church, Bethel is entirely self-funded by the giving of its members and those who attend regularly. If you’d like to support our ministry and mission in an ongoing way – we can do so either by placing donations in the offering box on the Bible shelves near the sound desk, pay by contactless giving on the phone there, or by bank transfers.
Please see the following information about the way the church is funded. Many thanks. There are also QR codes in various places in the Church Lounge and Church hall for you to scan to support the ministry and mission of the church if you so wish.

Easy Fundraising
Easy Fundraising is a simple way to support Bethel without it costing you anything. It’s a way of raising money for the church when you shop online, either using your computer or a smartphone. You can find more information at
www.easyfundraising.org.uk. You’ll need to sign up (it’s free) and then either install an app for your phone or there’s a plugin for your web browser. The website guides you through the simple steps to do this. It will also ask you to ‘Find a cause’, so if you look for Bethel Baptist we’re the only one on there at the moment. .
